RCMP say a Vancouver Island Regional Correctional Centre inmate who escaped while being taken to a Victoria hospital for treatment is back in custody after nearly three weeks on the loose.
Tyler Fong was arrested yesterday in Surrey.
He’s facing charges of escaping custody, as well as assaulting a police officer and auto theft.
