The BC Coroners Service has identified a Ladysmith teen as the victim of Monday night’s accident on the Nanaimo Parkway.
19-year-old Zachary Michael Andrews was driving northbound, when a small SUV heading south in the wrong lane hit his car head on.
The driver of the SUV, a 35-year-old Nanoose Bay man, was airlifted to hospital in Victoria in critical condition but there has been no update on his condition.
The BC Coroners Service and police are still looking into the accident. RCMP haven’t said why they think the driver of the SUV was driving in the wrong lane
