Island Health will host nine simultaneously timed public breastfeeding events across Vancouver Island on Saturday.
Registered dietitian Swati Scott says it’s a part of the Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge, which focuses on getting as many moms breastfeeding at the same time as possible.
Scott says Vancouver Island Regional Library is also involved in the challenge, so story time starts at 10:30am and the latch-on is at 11am.
The event is taking place at the Duncan Farmer’s Market at the City Square, Nanaimo’s Woodgrove Centre and Salt Spring Island, among other places.
