Police are asking for the public’s help after a strange incident at Ecole Mt. Prevost Elementary School in Duncan on Tuesday night.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Cst. Krista Hobday says they got a call shortly after 11pm about a man cutting down trees on school property.
She says the person that called 911 told the man to stop, however, was threatened with a saw, before the suspect took off. Hobday says the school community is rattled.

Clutchey says a couple of people have already said they are willing to replace the trees that were destroyed.
