Nature Conservancy of Canada staff have been for a hike up Mt. Tzouhalem… and not just any hike.
They were taking the “Google Trekker” with them.
The backpack mounted camera lets people film trails the same way Google’s Street View car takes pictures as it goes down the road. (seen above on a different Conservancy property).
The Conservancy has been filming several of its properties across Canada, and west coast stewardship coordinator Katy Fulton says Chase Woods was an easy choice to be the first in BC.

The images will be available through Google Maps, along with information about the hiking route, the Conservancy and the importance of the property.
