Local restaurants looking to help staff of burned down White Spot

A few restaurants in Duncan are trying to help the staff of the recently-burned down White Spot by providing some jobs.

Burger King manager Tyler Scammell says he can’t imagine the feeling of waking up to the news that a fire has destroyed the place you work at.

He says the employees, and their families, depended on the restaurant for money and that he wants to try to help them in anyway possible.

Scammell says the restaurant community is tight-knit in town and that he wouldn’t have a problem calling McDonald’s and Dairy Queen as well.

There is also a fundraising dance happening in November called the White Spot Benefit Dance.
