The new-look Waterwheel Square in Chemainus will be officially unveiled to the public on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.
North Cowichan officials say the highly-anticipated makeover cost just under $900,000.
They say the square has turned into a multi-purpose area that can provide the community with a space that can support different events such as a marketplace.Â
Officials say it should be a tourist hot spot and will lead more people to check out the Chemainus Museum and visitor information centre.
