Paving and general road improvements are set to begin this weekend on highway-1 near Goldstream.
The work involves filling and repaving existing highway lanes on 3.5 kilometres of Highway-1 from just south of the Aspen Road intersection to just south of the Tunnel Hill washout repair site.
To reduce delays for motorists, the work will take place from 8 pm to 5 am Sunday to Thursday and should be completed by the end of October.
During repaving the route will be reduced to single-lane-alternating traffic between 10 pm and 5 am, with delays of up to 20 minutes.

People are asked to obey all safety signs and traffic-management workers and are encouraged to use the highway outside of construction hours.
