Lake Cowichan RCMP say they’re investigating a suspicious death that occurred yesterday at a residence in the Ditidaht First Nation community.
Police say they were called out shortly before 7:00 a.m. yesterday, and because of the seriousness of the issue, additional support vehicles were called to assist the investigation.
A suspect was taken into custody yesterday, without incident, and police say they have handed the investigation over to the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit.
RCMP say they won’t be commenting further on the incident as it is an open investigation but add there is no threat to the public.
