Ladysmith-Oceanside candidates start their campaign

BC Conservatives 

Brett Fee 

Brett Fee family has resided in Parksville since 1994.  

Fee has operated a highly successful martial arts business since 2006, and in 2023 his studio.  

Fee says his proven track record of success, deep community ties, and unwavering dedication to conservative values gives him the ability to make BC more prosperous for the future. 

BC NDP 

Stephanie Higginson 

A member of the Nanaimo-Ladysmith school board for the past two years and is the past president of the BC School Trustees’ Association, Higginson says she plans to continue building strong services for the province.

She has resided in Cedar since 2010 at a small farm with her family and says building strong services, a strong and clean economy is what she is rooted in. 

INDEPENDENT 

Adam Walker 

Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Adam Walker lives in Qualicum Beach with his family and says for close to 20 years he has operated a small business to help people with tech needs, but that grew to him wanting more.  

Walker was first welcome to politics in 2018 where he was elected as councilor for Qualicum Beach, and later elected to the position of MLA in 2020. 

He believes in prioritizing in the best interests of British Columbians, and delivering a better healthcare system, protecting the environment, and a balanced budget is going to help solve homelessness and improve food security as well as water security.

According to Walker, since becoming a independent his team has grown and that has allowed him to secure a new health care centre in Parksville and improve collaboration on a new centre in Qualicum Beach.
