Cowichan Search and Rescue had a busy long weekend, undertaking a multiorganizational rescue of a mountain biker.
CSAR and the Shawnigan Lake Volunteer Fire located the injured biker near the Burnt Bridge area.
However, an air ambulance could not land near the site and required a “long line team” from Arrowsmith Search and Rescue to lift the man out via helicopter, he was later transferred to a waiting ambulance.
“Outstanding work to all involved during a very hot deployment. Best wishes for a speedy recovery for the cyclist” said CSAR in a social media post.
