The Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association is requiring parents to take an online respect workshop for the fast-approaching 2015-16 season. The have to have it done by October 31st.
President Jim Humphrey says the workshop teaches people what to do when they are in or around organized sports. He says the reception to the mandatory program has been positive so far.
Humphrey says VIAHA has also added new consequences to its code of conduct after several incidents last season.
