Ladysmith Council has voted to buy four downtown properties that will be used for the future site of a new City Hall.
Mayor Aaron Stone says the Town will finance a good chunk of the $920,000 purchase that includes three properties on Buller Street and one on First Avenue.
He says there are several problems with the current City Hall location.
Stone says plans for a new site are still in the early stages and no construction date has been set.

He says Council is exploring options to share the space with other organizations such as the Vancouver Island Regional Library.
