Protectors of Wildwood urging TLC not to sell forest to private owner

The Land Conservancy of BC (TLC) is in big financial trouble and it’s looking to sell off a property in the Cedar/ Yellow Point area, called Wildwood Forest.

But a group called the Protectors of Wildwood says it should be protected, especially since it is a longstanding example of responsible forest management.

Member Jessica Snider says The Land Conservancy can’t legally sell the property.

Snider says there are other options. For example, a group called the Ecoforestry Institute Society is offering TLC $600,000 dollars to help pay down their debt if they promise to keep Wildwood Forest from being sold.
