Multiple sources say COVID-19 has resulted in the death of a Cowichan Tribes member.
More than 70 percent of the 171 people infected with the virus have recovered.
Six people are hospitalized and the virus is in 64 homes on reserve.
The shelter-in-place order has been extended through February 5th.
