A man charged with assaulting a Cowichan Valley Transit driver could be in court again on Tuesday to fix a date for a trial.
Timothy Thorpe, who is accused of throwing punches at a female driver’s head, could make an appearance at the Duncan Provincial Court, however, the process can be completed without him being present.
Court records show Thorpe filed notice for an intention to plead guilty back in June, but after an appearance last week the case was adjourned at the request of his lawyer.
The incident in question took place in January after he was picked up by the driver at the Mason’s Store stop in Shawnigan Lake.
