BC Ferries is ready for lots of traffic over the Christmas break, but they don’t expect it all this weekend.
Ferries has added more than 150 sailings to various routes, mainly the big one from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, but Deborah Marshall of BC Ferries says the biggest volumes will be after Chirstmas Day.
Marshall says as well as adding sailings they’ll be cancelling a few. She says the demand just isn’t there early Christmas morning and New Year’s Day – so the first round trips are being cancelled on smaller routes like Crofton – Vesuvius and on Duke Point – Tsawwassen.
