Cowichan Valley residents will be asked to vote at next month’s civic elections if they are in favour or against in providing long-term funding for the Sportsplex.
The chair of the CVRD and mayor of Ladysmith is Rob Hutchins.
He says the complex provides people with athletic opportunities they may not get elsewhere.
Results of a CVRD survey earlier this year were mixed, however, generally in favour of providing long-term and stable funding.
