Morrison: Trucking salmon up the Cowichan River begins

After another week of sunny, dry weather, water levels were low enough in the Cowichan River on Friday for the DFO and concerned environmental groups to begin to truck salmon upstream towards Lake Cowichan.
Area F Director and watershed board director Ian Morrison filled us in
 He says now its a matter of seeing how much rain we will receive over the weekend.
The board will assess the situation on Tuesday to see whether more fish will be trucked to their spawning grounds.
