Lake Cowichan was a popular destination for tourists this past summer and the visitor centre is hoping to carry that momentum into the fall and beyond.
Katherine Worsley is with the Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce and is the coordinator for the visitor centre.
She says different demographics of people are now heading into town.
Worsley says June saw a 36 per cent increase in tourist activity, July a 15 per cent increase, August 24 per cent and September 12 per cent in comparison to the same months in 2013.
