A ground-breaking ceremony for a new multi-million dollar ice arena at Shawnigan Lake School took place over the weekend.
The headmaster of the school is David Robertson.
He says the project has a completion date for mid-January of next year.
Robertson says the construction of a new arena will give the school’s boys and girls hockey program a big boost.
