North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP are investigating a theft from a boat that occurred at the end of last month.
Police say a Duncan fisherman is missing numerous items from his boat that was trailered on Walcot St. overnight.
They include two custom made brown Hardy fishing rods with a black and silver reel.
Police say both had the inscription “Built for Big G” inscribed on the handle.

North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say a truck travelling down a road in Chemainus last week lost its load after going over a bump.
They add a nearby motorist recovered a table saw after attempting to alert the driver of the pickup truck by honking his horn but with no luck.

Local police say a ship’s wheel was recovered in an unrelated investigation and they are hoping to find the rightful owner.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say on July 25th a 24-inch diameter spoke wheel was seized that appears to belong to a boat of some sort.
They add they did not receive any information from the individual that was in possession of the wheel and are hoping a member of the public is able to assist police in identifying the owner.
