The trial of a Duncan area man accused of beating a dog and threatening witnesses appears to be wrapping up.
Brandon Harrison testified in his own defence on Thursday in relation to an alleged beating of a Boston Terrier cross dog on Cowichan Lake Road last year.
The 26-year-old received a not-guilty verdict on one of four charges, the criminal-harassment charge.
In terms of the three other charges, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm; causing unnecessary pain and suffering to an animal and causing an animal to continue to be in distress, the judge says he will take at least 10 days to come up with a verdict.

Harrison has pleaded not guilty to all of them.
