The CVRD has gotten permission from the Cowichan Valley Regional Hospital District to conduct the next stage of investigation in relation to finding a site for a new care facility.
Chair Rob Hutchins says there are nine potential properties on the list and they will start with the top three, however, can’t reveal their identities at this point in time.
We asked him what’s next in figuring out a site for a new hospital.
Hutchins says the project should cost roughly between 320-350 million dollars and is the largest expenditure the valley has ever undertaken.
