For the last decade, the Cowichan Food Security Coalition has been working to provide people with access to food.
Some of the highlights since 2007 include the development and promotion of a Cowichan Food Charter, the organization of educational opportunities for Cowichan Valley residents to start growing food in their own gardens, and the establishment of a food security research program.
