Move over Tofino, there’s a newly discovered Vancouver Island destination, it’s the Cowichan Valley.
With more tourists visiting and staying in the Cowichan Valley; restaurants, hotels, and local businesses are getting a boost to their bottom line.
Sonya Nagel with the Cowichan Regional Visitor Centre says the increase in overnight guests is a huge benefit to the area.
Nagel adds that after a slow start, tourists came to the area in droves.
The State of the Island Economic Summit comes to the Vancouver Island Conference Centre in Nanaimo on October 25th and 26th.
The Cowichan change makers, namely, economic development, chamber organizations, and local businesses are working together to build on their strengths and form new, long-lasting partnerships.
