Cowichan Lake Road at Riverbottom Road is closed due to flooding.
Mainroads Operations Manager Leon Bohmer says the washout occurred Wednesday evening.
Bohmer says the road is expected to reopen by Friday. Currently, detours are available through Riverbottom Road and Barnjum Road.
