Cowichan Valley residents are invited to the showing of a contemporary Syrian art exhibit, “Behind the Lines.”
Penticton Art Gallery Curator Paul Crawford hopes this exhibit helps Canadians become more invested in what’s happening in Syria right now, and also connect them to the new refugee families we have welcomed in the Valley over the past year.
Crawford described one of the paintings from Omran Younes.
The exhibit is being presented to the community through a partnership between the Cowichan Intercultural Society, Vancouver Island University, Brentwood College and Duncan United Church.
Behind the Lines will be on display at Duncan United Church until Saturday December 3rd, and then against at Brentwood College School from December 10th to 17th.
