North Cowichan is launching their annual Environmental Education Program. The municipality hires an environmental student every year to run a program to create and deliver one hour workshops to local students from May to June.
Engineering technologist with North Cowichan Shaun Chadburn says the program this year will focus on recycling in the municipality.
Last year, the program theme was water – and the student delivered workshops to over 25-hundred students in 112 classes.
