The Cowichan Valley Regional District is hosting the final meeting of their three-part community conversation in Cowichan Bay.
At the last meeting, CVRD Director for Cowichan Bay Lori Iannidinardo says residents prioritized what they thought was most important to developing the Cowichan Bay area.
Other top priorities included farmers markets, teaching agricultural practices in local schools, parking in the village and local transit. In terms of the environment, water and a healthy, clean estuary was the top priority for almost everyone.
Iannidinardo says these meetings have been a great tool in checking in with residents making sure the board’s plans are aligning with the what the residents want to see.
The meeting takes place at Bench Elementary School tonight at 7pm.
