BC’s coastal forest industry is front and centre as a major Truck Loggers Association convention is now underway.
TLA Executive Director David Elstone says the event will focus on how the industry needs to evolve to succeed in the face of steep change, literally.
He says it’s getting harder to work on steep slopes.
On Thursday, TLA members elected their first female president Jacqui Beban, and then on Friday, the Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Steve Thomson will be speaking at the conference in Vancouver.
