William “Chip” Seymour has been re-elected as the chief of the Cowichan Tribes.
Seymour collected 616 out of a possible 1340 votes on December 4th. Howard George finished second with 477.
Seymour says, with the election behind him, he is ready to get back to helping band members be successful in the future.
Seymour says there are five new people joining council. Three have been councilors before, while two are new to politics.
