Peace and Justice for Israelis and Palestinians is the message a prominent activist is trying to get across as he continues his whirlwind tour of Vancouver Island.
Yonatan Shapira, a former air force pilot turned Jewish Israeli activist, will be speaking in Duncan and Nanaimo on Friday.
He says he will be sharing some of his life experiences, including his role in leading 27 pilots to take a stand against fly missions over the Gaza Strip.
Shapira will be speaking at VIU’s Duncan Campus at 10:30am and then in Nanaimo at 2pm at St Andrew’s United Church.
