Police say a 29-year-old Chemainus man is in hospital after what appears to be a targeted attack on Wednesday night.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP say they got a call around 5:30pm from the man’s mom about an assault at her son’s home near the Trans-Canada Highway, just south of Chemainus.
Cpl. Krista Hobday says they were told the man was attacked in his driveway by at least two people, that escaped after the assault.
Hobday says police believe the victim knew his attackers, however, the investigation is ongoing and any tips would be helpful. She says there is no threat to the public.
