Traffic in Duncan was backed up after police and investigators had the Highway Corridor backed up after two pedestrians were hit by a car.
According to witnesses, the incident happened between 5:30 and 6:00 this morning when the car collided with the pedestrians, and northbound traffic was closed for several hours as police continued their investigation.
Witnesses reported several items of clothing still being on the road, and the vehicle in the northbound lanes was reported to have visible damage to the front end.
According to DriveBC, the highway was completely blocked off in both ways early this morning for an investigation and has since been reopened to southbound traffic.
So far police haven’t released details on the crash, and it isn’t clear if the province will expedite building an overpass considering the accident, which was slated to start as early as spring of this year.
