BC Ferries says it had a good summer although how much it helped their bottom line won’t be known for another month or so.
Ferries says traffic numbers were up 2.9 and 3.1 per cent in July and August.
Deborah Marshall of BC Ferries says they can’t say for sure how much of the increase was from tourists, but they have a hunch.
Marshall says another stat that suggest a lot more tourists were taking the ferries this summer is the increase in people use “BC Ferries Vacations” to book. It was up 20 per cent.
