A new global study has revealed Canada’s most breathtaking views, and one of Vancouver Island’s most iconic lookouts has made the top 10.
According to research by Remitly, which analyzed over 483,000 traveler reviews, the Malahat Skywalk ranks eighth on the list of Canada’s best scenic spots.
The sky-high attraction, perched along the Malahat Highway, offers stunning panoramic views of the Saanich Inlet and distant coastal mountains.
British Columbia dominated the rankings, with nine of the top 20 most beautiful viewpoints, including Mount Maxwell on Salt Spring Island at number two, Mount Tolmie in Victoria at number three, and Soames Hill in Gibsons at number four.
However, the top spot went to Bear’s Hump in Alberta’s Waterton Lakes National Park, where nearly 88% of visitors raved about the spectacular view.
