North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP hold two in custody following assault

Two suspects are in custody after an assault in Duncan sent one person to hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP the call came in on Feb. 11 after two people entered a store in the 500-block of Canada Avenue.

Police say the suspects entered the store and grabbed several items, but before they left an employee confronted them and was assaulted.

Staff sergeant Steve Duncan says thanks to a quick investigation, the suspects were apprehended early the next day and remain in custody.
