Nominations will be held Thursday (Jan. 9) to determine who will head the Cowichan Core Recreation Commission.
Eight directors are scheduled to nominate and vote on who could replace the current chair Tom Duncan and vice chair Hilary Abbott or keep them in the same role.
CVRD directors who could be nominated during the meeting are Sierra Acton, Mike Wilson, Alison Nicholson, Bruce Finlay, Christopher Justice, Calvin Swustus Jr., but the commission could also nominate the current chair and vice chair to continue their roles.
According to the CVRD, the process is very informal and will call on the nominees to either accept their nominations and if so, directors will have their chance to vote on the nominees.
The elections are annual across all committees, as well as the CVRD board.
