Pay parking fines with food donations until Dec 31

The cost of daily parking in downtown Duncan will be increasing to $3 in the new year, to cover increased parking management costs.

Three-month and six-month parking permit rates will also be increased accordingly.

Meanwhile, if you received a parking ticket in the last two weeks, you can pay with a food bank donation until the end of this year. The City of Duncan is accepting donations of new, unopened, non-perishable food items approximately equal to or exceeding half the monetary value of select parking violation fines, or a minimum of three items listed on the city’s website.

It applies to tickets issued between December 15—31.
