Police say the Cowichan Valley Museum has notified them that eight agricultural prize medals have been stolen.
North Cowichan/Duncan RCMP Cpl. Krista Hobday says staff reported theĀ items missing, just days before the Cowichan Exhibition,Ā after noticing the medals weren’t in the display case.
She says it’s tough to say when they were takenĀ because a light was burnt out in the case and nobody broke into the building.
HobdayĀ says the museum staff are devastated.
HobdayĀ says people should keep an eye out for them in places like pawn shops or antique stores. She says collectors have also been notified.
