The annual Stuff the Truck is back for another season, and this year local organizations are looking to shatter the old record in the pallet challenge to help fight hunger.
Last year donors from across the region helped by purchasing 489 pallets to help provide a cheerful, festive season for all.
So far, a total of 61 pallets have been donated, and with only a few days remaining organizers are hopeful of reaching or exceeding last year’s total.
Residents are being asked to donate either by purchasing a pallet, or by visiting Save On Foods to donate either a $5 or $10 bag of groceries, just by telling the cashier you want to donate.
This year SUN FM has partnered with the Cowichan Basket Society, Nourish Cowichan, House of Friendship and Cowichan Green Community’s meals on wheels to help the valley fight hunger this holiday season.
Stuff the Truck starts today and wraps up on Dec. 6.
