For the second time this year, BC will be testing their emergency alert system.
The provincial government says they will be doing a test of the system to make sure it works in the event of an actual emergency. They do this twice a year when possible.
They say you’ll hear an alert tone and get a message on your devices. They say this is just a test so there is no need to do anything.
The test will be done on the TV, radio, and phone, which is where you would get alerts for wildfires, floods, tsunamis, and Amber alerts.

This test takes place on Wednesday next week at 1:55 p.m.
