Looking forward to collaboration, Duncan mayor

Duncan’s mayor says she is looking forward to working with MLA elect Debra Toporowski to help deal with the current issues facing Cowichan at the provincial level.

Michelle Staples says in a social media post that the two of them have already worked together on several issues over the past two decades as representatives at the local government level.

Staples says she is excited to have Toporowski representing the region and looks forward to having her support in the legislature for all issues in the region.

“I am looking forward together at a provincial level to support the solutions we need to address and the challenges we’re faced with in Cowichan,” Staples says in a social media post.
