Cowichan Tribes and the Cowichan Stewardship Roundtable are holding their annual Cowichan River Day this Sunday from 10 am to 3 pm.
The day will open with a speech from Cowichan elder John George and other activities like a nature walk, cedar weaving and carving will also be happening throughout the event.
Exhibitors from the Cowichan Watershed Board, the CVRD and Fisheries and Oceans Canada will also be on hand.
Parking is located behind the Si’em Lelum gym and a light lunch will be provided.
