Ladysmith Mayor to Become CEO of South Island Prosperity Partnership

Aaron Stone is resigning as Mayor of Ladysmith at the end of the month to join South Island Prosperity Partnership, part of the Greater Victoria’s economic development alliance.

Yesterday, Stone announced he would step down as of September 30, and today it was revealed he has been hired as SIPP’s new CEO, taking over the position on October 7, 204.

In its news release, SIPP calls Stone a seasoned leader with a proven track record in driving business success and as a champion of holistic community prosperity.

Stone says that after deciding last year not seek re-election, no future job options really ignited a fire within him until he discovered SIPP was seeking a new CEO.
