This afternoon Islanders will get one last look at the Hawaii Martin Mars water bomber in action, as it makes its final flight to the BC Aviation Museum.
The plane will fly over several Island communities before heading to Victoria.
It will be joined by the Snowbirds, who will escort the water bomber from Crofton to Victoria.
The plane will be flown by veteran Harbour Air pilots Rick Matthews and Peter Killin from Sproat Lake to Patricia Bay. The historic plane will be the centrepiece of the BC Aviation Museum’s new wildfire aviation exhibit.
