Municipalities across the CVRD are being asked to observe new restrictions as the district moves to Stage 2 water restrictions.
According to the district, all water systems across the region are now at Stage 2 as outlined with the province with some areas on East Vancouver Island proceeding to Drought Level 3.
Stage 2 restrictions mean sprinkling and hand-watering are not permitted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Residents are being asked to only use sprinklers for a maximum of two hours and one day per week.
