UPDATE: Wildfire Located Near Shawnigan Lake

UPDATE: As of June 26th the BCWS says that due to weather conditions and fuel the fire is currently being held.

The BC Wildfire Service reports a small wildfire is burning out of control near Shawnigan Lake.

The fire is located to the west of the lake at McGee Creek.

It is less than 1-hectare in size and was reported at about 1:36 pm this afternoon.

BC Wildfire says two initial response teams are responding.
