Parksville Qualicum MLA Michelle Stilwell is in Toronto to compete in the Parapan Am Games.
She’s racing in the 100 and 800 metre wheelchair events. She holds the world record in both.
Stilwell says she’s excited about the opportunity.
“I have never competed for Canada in Canada. I’m really looking forward to take some of the enthusiasm, excitement and energy from the Canadian crowd and be able to put it out on the track and hopefully achieve some success. ”
